Doug Henthorn has been changing the oil in a number of projects since founding and fronting the now disbanded rock band Healing Sixes (2000-14), but the focus has always been on his solo career. His debut release ‘Cold Medicine’ (2016) is a crafty, sometimes brooding songscape, while the current release “The LLC” (2019) is a fun barebones rock record with a healthy dose of newly termed ‘Alternative Blues’. Doug’s music has taken him around the world and all the while he still calls Indiana home.
Highlights over the years:

• Signed to Columbia Records in the mid nineties with the band Pod.
• Formed Healing Sixes and released three records that featured the talents of Kevin Shirley, Jason Bonham, and Joe Bonamassa.
• Performed and recorded with John Hiatt, Beth Hart, Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham, and others.
• Performed all over the US, Mexico, Canada, Japan and Europe with a noteworthy performance at the Royal Albert Hall and Hammersmith Odeon in London with Joe B.

Every track on Rebekah Meldrum’s self-titled debut is steeped in the love and the passion she has for the genre. It’s almost a religious reverence, which makes perfect sense considering she’s a preacher’s daughter who grew up singing gospel in church. “Gospel and blues have always been so closely related,” she opines. “It’s like there’s a fork in the musical road, one way, it’s the gospel, and the other is the blues. I was exposed to Koko Taylor when I was eight years old, and right then, I knew which road I was going to take.” But her precision is by no means cut and dried or predictable; she is methodical, if not hypnotic, weaving a spell across seven songs that reflect the multi-decade journey it’s taken for her to get here as much as the destination itself. From the way the very first notes drop you right into the delta, through excursions that go from the backcountry to steamy, inner-city grooves and all the way through to New Orleans-inspired horns that wind the album down, she is in firm command of every aspect of the songwriting process. “Everything took a big turn when I stopped writing on guitar and started singing the melodies in my head,” she relates, ” even the guitar riffs and the solos. Then Paul (longtime collaborator, guitarist/singer Paul Holdman) translates it all and embellishes it with his own nuances—when we put it together like that, the magic happens.” It is magic, but it’s no illusion. Rebekah Meldrum is a master magician who’s just beginning to reveal her bag of tricks.

An exhilarating blast of blues, soul and funk.
Music!Music!Music! marks the recorded debut of the musical partnership between guitarist Charlie Hunter and vocalist Lucy Woodward.

The duo first performed together in February 2018, when Woodward, fresh off supporting her fourth solo album, met Hunter through their friends in Snarky Puppy at the GroundUP festival in Miami.
Woodward joined forces with Hunter as a last-minute fill-in on a tour he’d originally booked with another singer whose visa had been denied. Bonded by their shared love of blues, Hunter and Woodward quickly constructed a setlist of favorite songs and hit the road. Within less than a week of playing shows together, they realized that they’d hit upon something very special, indeed.

Hunter and Woodward are individually known as solo artists but have collectively toured and recorded with D’Angelo, Rod Stewart, Snarky Puppy, John Mayer, Pink Martini, Norah Jones and Celine Dion.
Music!Music!Music! features eleven radically reworked covers of songs by artists ranging from Blind Willie Johnson and Bessie Smith to Nina Simone and Terence Trent D’Arby. Soulful, spacious and deliciously in the pocket, Music!Music!Music! showcases the dazzling interplay between Hunter’s funky guitar and Woodward’s powerful voice, while also reflecting the spontaneity and good vibes of the duo’s live performances
