Stephen Creech is originally from Kentucky where he studied ceramics while attending Morehead StateUniversity. After college he worked as a Production Manager at IMG_187 in Los Angeles, the Studio Technician at Eastern Kentucky University and Studio Manager at One World Art Center.
Since moving to Indianapolis in 2012, he has co-founder of Clay Week, co-founded Indy Clay Coop, and became the Director of Marketing at AMACO Brent.
This body of work explores the idea that in a reality of multiverses, each with an infinite amount of space, anything is possible. The goal is to transport the view to a world that exists but has yet to be discovered, every piece being a requiem for what humans may never reach.
Masks will be required to enter. Contact tracing, distancing and other precautions will be utilized and observed.

Much of Katie’s work, especially the recent stuff, is about the act of collecting, and how that relates to memory and self reflection/awareness. The work also reflects the constructed, architectural and industrial spaces we live and work in and the systems and mechanisms used to organize those spaces.
We ask that all attendees to this opening please wear a mask while inside the gallery. Also, please observe social distance while inside and just outside the gallery.

Gabriel Akre is an Indianapolis artist and senior Painting and Sculpture major at the Herron School Art + Design. His work has been exhibited in the Barnes & Thornburg and Frost Todd Brown law firms in downtown Indianapolis, as well as two exhibitions in Florence, Italy. His work is heavily inspired by the created world around him, particularly the places he’s traveled, giving high attention to atmosphere, color, light, and a deep sense of space.
This show is the first StorageSpace Artist Residency Exhibition. Gabriel Akre worked in the studio all summer and created this body of work and every work in the show was created during that time.
The title “The Space in Between” indicates the time which the work was made being in between semesters where there is little intellectual or creative obligation, the atmospheric space that many of the paintings display, and even the space between the viewer and the work itself.

‘Meat Shoot’ is a project by Braydee Euliss that explores an often integral part of rural culture by the same name. Typically, a meat shoot is a community event held as a fundraiser where shotguns are fired at targets in a game of chance with meat as the winning prize. The opening reception for ‘Meat Shoot included a participatory component, and interested attendees were encouraged to arrive early and bring cash.
Braydee Euliss is an artist and artist advocate who splits her time between Muncie and Indianapolis, IN. She received her BFA in Sculpture from Ball State University School of Art in 2011. Previous and ongoing projects include ‘On the Mark, for the City’ with We’re Trying Collective, ‘Case Studies’, Final Fridays at the David Owsley Museum of Art, and WORN Jewelry.

Lay Your Body Down: Drone Yoga
@CosmicChambo + @PerrettaMark
@StorageSpaceIndy | 121 E. 34th St. Indianapolis
Friday, July 19, 2019
$10 suggested donation
StorageSpace presents an evening of slow movement with meditative audio and visuals. Lay Your Body Down combines Daniel Chamberlin’s Yin yoga instruction and undulating botanical projections with Mark Perretta’s improvisational music. The audio is composed of pre-recorded tapes and live keyboards, creating a gradually decaying chorus of long-form melody and drone.
Yin yoga is an opportunity to feel gravity pulling our bodies apart, a slow and low practice where we hold poses in stillness for extended periods of time. The audio and visual elements reflect and respond to the unfolding asanas, resulting in a uniquely immersive participatory happening with each installation.
Lay Your Body Down is intended to be accessible to all bodies and experience levels. Please bring your own yoga mat. $10 suggested donation, but nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. There is limited space for this event: RSVP [email protected]
Daniel Chamberlin is a Muncie, Indiana-based artist, writer, yoga teacher, and host of Inter-Dimensional Music on 99.1FM WQRT Indianapolis. Mark Perretta is a musician and record archivist also based in Muncie.

Kassie Woodworth will be facilitating a workshop. She finds inspiration everyday. In the “IN MY SHOES” workshop, participants will listen to Kassie explain her process of discovery and how it is applied to the artistic practice. Then each participant will choose an object from a box and follow a process of analyzation to find inspirational ways to step out of their “comfort box” for a creative process.
Along with the workshop, it will be the closing of “Entwine In The Divine” a solo exhibition by Kassie Woodworth in the Storage Space Gallery.
