Lucas Waterfill:

Lucas Waterfill aka “the best writer that can’t write.” With cunning wit and his impeccable timing, Lucas pulls from all aspects of life speaking on his own personal experience with his disability while still relating to all audiences.

“Growing up Crippled means that on a daily basis you are faced with ignorant statements and ignorant expectations. Sarcasm and wit are the only ways I know how to disarm that ignorance. My family has also influenced my humor. They taught me not to take life too seriously and to follow what makes me truly happy. Since I can remember I felt most comfortable being the center of attention. In 2014 I began to do stand-up comedy. And right away I was addicted. Stand-up comedy combines my passion for performance and my need to make strangers laugh at the absurd moments in my life. Since 2014 I have honed my ability to deliver a joke and to adapt to any situation onstage. I’ve traveled across the country, been in many festivals and been fortunate enough for one of my videos to reach almost 2 million people.”

Mark Dippel:

Mark Dipple is a unique, quirky, creative, fun, poetic, experiential, solo artist. What instruments does he play? …guitar, xylophone, hand drum, bucket drums, triangle, and more. He has sincere, poetic lyrics and an intentional, rhythmic delivery. His tunes are quick-whited, catchy and real. His performance is laid back and in your face at the same time.

According to the Joyful Noise staff, “Dippel is hands-down our weirdest co-worker at Joyful Noise. Mark started working as an unpaid intern way back in January of 2015. At the time, he had recently decided that he hated his regular job, so he up and quit – opting instead to spend his time working for free for a tiny indie label… Both as an artist and as an individual, Mark is incapable of pretense, and is impervious to the pressures of social norms.”
