Sat, Sep 15, 2018 2:00 PM – Sat, Sep 15, 2018 4:00 PM Living Poetry 2

Where: Rabble Coffee Rabble Coffee 2119 E 10th St Indianapolis, Indiana 46201

The Living Poetry series continues September 15th…

The question was, “Is poetry dead?”

In response, I visited several poetry groups, and discovered there is certainly enthusiasm for poetry, but not much emphasis on exploring nuances of the craft.

I discovered there are a few writers willing to deconstruct their poems in pursuit of more fulfilled expressions, and for them poetry lives.

So… I’m inviting poets to join me in planning a Living Poetry Workshop series.

The workshop is informed by the words of Paul Valéry:

“A poem is never finished, it is only abandoned.”

From this premise we will explore previously abandoned poems, and discover how they might be refined, expanded or condensed before being abandoned once again.

Let’s meet this Saturday for coffee and form a poet conspiracy!

Bring an open mind, a humble heart, and a desire to explore your own poetry and poems of others.

The new question is, “Does anyone want to take a literary leap and join the Living Poetry Workshop?”

RSVP if you do!
