IGNITE at Union Chapel Indy: June 19 at 5:00 p.m.
You’re invited to an evening of music, conversation, and storytelling featuring Classical Pianist & Music Sociologist JOSHUA A. THOMPSON. Based on the song “My Petition” by Jill Scott, Thompson combines musical storytelling with socio-historical context to question the church’s role and set of responsibilities in the 21st century as congregations wrestle with reconciliation and their duty to community. Dinner will be offered for free as we not only are inspired through music and storytelling, but also through conversations meant to challenge us and help us grow. My Petition: Arts, Activism, and Religious Reconciliation will certainly be an event that you won’t want to miss!
IGNITE at Union Chapel Indy is located at 2720 E 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
For more information, please contact Associate Pastor, Jacob Tipantasig-Wolverton at [email protected] or through the church office (317) 846-3429.

🎶 About the Show 🎶
Clint Breeze is the artistic persona of Indianapolis-based drummer and hip-hop producer, Carrington Clinton. The Groove is an all-star lineup of Indy-based jazz musicians (Nick Tucker – bass, Jared Thompson – saxophone, Joel Tucker – guitar, Christopher Pitts – piano, Zachary Finnegan – trumpet, frontman Pernell from Pike – vocalist/emcee, and led by Clint Breeze – drummer/beatmaker) whose talents combine to create an energetic blend of jazz-fusion + hip-hop.
Clint Breeze and The Groove has shared the stage with Trombone Shorty, Durand Jones and The Indications, and The Commonheart, and has headlined several festivals in Indianapolis including Greece and Indy Jazz Fest. Clint Breeze and The Groove released their debut studio EP Arrival in April 2019. Their first full-length album, Endtime Overture, was released in the Summer of 2020. In 2016, Breeze released Nappy Head, an album that highlights the socio-political climate of Black America featuring the artistic signatures of over two dozen rappers, musicians, singers, and poets – including collaborations with artists Oreo Jones, Drayco, Flaco, and Sirius Blvck to name a few. Nappy Head generated a buzz around Indy and established itself as a local classic and received critical acclaim from music writer Kyle Long who covers the band regularly for Indianapolis’ NPR affiliate (WFYI) and Indy’s alternative newsweekly (NUVO).

Sicard Hollow
https://www.sicardhollow.com
Sicard Hollow is a four-piece progressive bluegrass band who formed with a mutual passion for pushing the boundaries of genre. Heavily influenced by the Grateful Dead and New Grass Revival, these young pickers bring new energy to a timeless style with a combination of fearless improvisation and instrumental prowess.
The band formed through mutual connections within the Nashville music scene who all wanted to play something different. They were all simultaneously discovering bluegrass while existing in their other scenes. Once they got together, the rest was history.
Having toured extensively around the Southeast for the last year, this group of players continues to grow their sound with every performance. Having always thought of themselves as a live band, producer, Dan Davis, had his work cut out for him while producing their debut album, Secret of the Breeze, at Zac Brown and Oliver Wood’s Southern Ground Nashville. The result was a perfect encapsulation of the band’s genre-kicking tenacity. There is no slowing down for Sicard Hollow.
Sicard Hollow has opened up for acts such as Sam Bush, Infamous Stringdusters, Rumpke Mountain Boys, Kyle Tuttle, Jarod Pool, CBDB, The Sweet Lilies, and Amoramora.
They’ve also played at festivals such as Summer Camp Music & Arts Festival, The Peach Music & Arts Festival, Bluegrass in the Bottoms, Birds of a Feather, and Resonate.

Sterling Elliott, the youngest Sphinx Competition Winner in history, is featured on Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 2 in D Major. New York Concert Review acclaims “(The) very fine young cellist Sterling Elliott played …with perfect intonation, style, and total involvement.” Inspired by two great works of art, living composer Anna Clyne’s Sound and Fury, sets the stage while Richard Strauss’ Metamorphosen powerfully concludes the evening.
