[B-MOVIE] [CAMPY] [DRESS UP!]

This campy cult classic is the most popular midnight movie of all time. A corn-fed all-American couple stumbles onto a creepy castle one night when their car breaks down, entering a world they never dreamed existed. The castle turns out to be inhabited by a collection of kinky Transylvanian freaks led by a mad bisexual transvestite. The film gained notoriety as the most successful midnight movie ever, in which hundreds of cult fans show up in costume and act out scenes from the movie.

You are not allowed to bring your own props. Prop kits are available at the show. Prop kits include rice (during the wedding scene at the very beginning, throw yours in celebration), a newspaper (during the rain scene, keep dry), noise maker (during the creation speech, celebrate and MAKE SOME NOISE), toilet paper (when the doctor breaks through the lab wall, hurl your “scotts” tissue), and toast (make your toast during the birthday dinner…toss it), will be available at the show for $4. YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO COME IN COSTUME.

Doors open at 11:00pm. Virgin sacrifice before the show. The movie begins at Midnight.

NEXT SHOW: Saturday March 28.

[FRESH] [LOCAL] [EVERY WEDNESDAY]

Every Wednesday along the east side (Johnson Avenue) of the Irving Theater. Join us for local, farm fresh meats, eggs, and cheeses as well some fruits and vegetables and other seasonal items. Most everything is planted, picked or produced by the farmer standing in front of you.

This week’s vendors include:
– BLUE RIVER NATURAL FOODS (Earl and Barb)
with Grass Feed Beef, Milk Feed Pork, Bacon (without preservatives), Lamb, sometimes Rabbit, Venison Jerky, Chicken (whole and in parts), a variety of Cheeses, Raw Milk, Fresh Eggs, Amish Roll Butter, a variety of Honeys including Raw and Honey Pollen, Maple Syrups, BBQ Sauce, and more.
– THE BEARDED BAKER (Shane)

A proper shrub has a flavor that’s both tart and sweet, so it whets the palate while quenching thirst.

*FILM SCREENING, followed by permaculture panel discussion*

Beverages & Food will be available for purchase

FILM:
Inhabit is a feature length documentary detailing permaculture: a design method that offers an ecological lens for solving issues related to agriculture, economics, governance, and on. The film presents a vast array of projects, concepts, and people, and it translates the diversity of permaculture into something that can be understood by an equally diverse audience.

For those familiar, it will be a call to action and a glimpse into what’s possible – what kind of projects and solutions are already underway. For those unfamiliar, it will be an introduction to a new way of being and a new way of relating to the Earth. For everyone, it will be a reminder that humans are capable of being planetary healing forces.
