Hear local musicians and other community members tell first-person, true stories at this intimate event with limited seating. Presenters include Marc “Mr. Kinetik” Williams, a DJ/teacher/rapper; Frank Dean, legendary local singer/songwriter; Ginger Rough, IndyStar journalist; Samantha Simpson, yoga instructor; and Brian Allen Carr, teacher/author.

Storytellers will share their real-life encounters with U2 (and a secret group called the Bonophiles), Johnny Cash and the Oak Ridge Boys. Carr will talk about coming to terms with his brother’s mysterious death and his quest to discover the music he last listened to. Mr. Kinetik will give insight into how his “Jam Accordingly” philosophy shapes the important moments in his life.

There will be special musical performances by Mr. Kinetik, Frank Dean, who played at the premiere of Johnny Cash biopic “Walk the Line,” and Justin Mack, IndyStar reporter.

David Lindquist, IndyStar’s music and pop culture reporter, will host.

Event Details
Doors open at 5 p.m. Event is 6 – 8 p.m.

Snack food will be served and drinks will be available for purchase.

Tickets

General admission tickets are $15, which include entry and first-come, first-serve seating.
