Where: Nourish Wellness Nourish Wellness 826 W. 64th Street Indianapolis, Indiana 46260

Cost $25

We gather in community for these intensive series of monthly classes to bring awareness to our own creative potential through mindful free form body movement exercises and the exploration of other art forms such as vocal expression and drawing. We tune into the intelligence of our bodies nurturing our innate creativity and our relationship to the community and environment in a loving, supportive and respectful space. Ingrid will lead you into a journey of self-discovery through the Conscious MOVEment Meditation process.

The practice embraces the interconnection of the following components: the five Ayurvedic elements, the seven basic energetic centers along the spine called chakras, the cycles of the moon and sun and also mantra chanting. Adopting a regular meditative conscious dance practice helps restore Prana (life energy), empowers one to live life in the present moment and influences the daily routine activities at work and home in a positive way.

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul.” -Martha Graham

Engagement Guidelines:
1. This is mainly a barefoot practice but dance shoes can be used providing they have not been worn on the street.
2. Dress comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
3. Minimize talking during the course of the practice to allow participants move out of their heads and into their bodies.
4. Respect yourself and others during the practice. You can dance alone or with others. If you are not interested in dancing with another person simply bow with hands at your heart. This gentle gesture means “no, thank you”.
5. Listen to your body, take appropriate breaks, drink water and breathe.
6. Stay present during the practice and enjoy your MOVEment meditation journey!

Pre-requisites: Participants are encouraged to come to the practice with an open mind and loving heart. No previous movement/dancing experience is required. Open to men and women of all ages. Participants need to be able and willing to take responsibility for themselves, physically and emotionally.
