To support, advocate for and empower individuals, children and families by applying educational, social and economic resources that move members of the community towards stabilization, and self-sufficiency.

Director’s Statement

For 119 years, Flanner House of Indianapolis has been at the epicenter of helping people move to a place of self-reliance and self-sufficiency. I am honored and humbled to continue in this historic position of leadership as we strive for improving the quality of life for residents on the Northwest side of Indianapolis. Focusing on Education, Employment, Wellness, Peace and Safety, and Economic Development, and Food Justice, Flanner House is prepared to serve the evolving needs of our area residents.

As intelligent, marginalized, artists and entrepreneurs, there’s no reason we shouldn’t work together to tear down barriers, lift up others who aim to be where we are, and achieve heightened success. A group fundraiser (or series thereof), will put us in a position to raise funds for our individual businesses while relieving the stress on consumer pockets.

That is essentially the agenda for this meeting. Be prepared to share ideas, work as a team, and get a plan in place. We will utilize timers to keep the meeting moving while allowing everyone to be heard.
