Mon, Feb 17, 2020 7:00 PM – Mon, Feb 17, 2020 8:30 PM Caliban Poetry Workshop: Rhyming Without a Crutch ft. Too Black

Creating successful rhyme is possible. Creating successful rhyme in poetry without relying on simple words is possible. Creating successful rhyme with complex words and complex concepts is more than possible. This workshop will show you how.

Too Black is a spoken word poet, traveling and teaching artist, and public speaker fusing together historical context, current events, creative practice, and interpersonal interaction on international stages.

The name is a truth, an interrogation both external and internal. How to be black, black enough, Too Black in a world built through black subjugation but not made for black people?

Attendees at this event will walk away with a better sense of how to create pattern and flow with rhyme in their poetry.

This workshop costs $10 to attend. Email [email protected] if you’d like to attend but the cost is a barrier to you.
