The IFN Bloomington Hub – Indiana Filmmakers Network meeting, Thursday, September 12th, 6:30-9PM, in the Auditorium at the Monroe County Public Library (Indiana) on Kirkwood.

Visit Bloomington will be on hand to answer questions and give details on how to secure locations and resources within Bloomington, Indiana and surrounding areas, as well as proper ways to work with local organizations and agencies. https://www.visitbloomington.com/

Joanne Shank from the Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington a member-driven organization that works to sustain the creative arts community through communication and collective action. It connects all art genres, arts organizations, and arts advocates with local businesses, tourism, and other arts marketing initiatives. http://www.bloomingtonarts.org

Eric S Ayotte from Cicada Cinema, a pop-up movie theater in Bloomington, Indiana, providing high-quality screenings of underrepresented cinema. Volunteer ran and community driven, Cicada Cinema aims to create an independent space for film and film lovers. Instant Gratification Movie Challenge , a monthly filmmaking exercise, open to all. Each month a theme is chosen, and anyone is welcome to produce a short movie of 5 minutes or less on that theme. https://monthlymoviechallenge.com/

John Robert Armstrong from Pigasus Pictures & Bloomington Academy of Film & Theatre, which offers professional training in all disciplines of entertainment, including filmmaking, acting for stage, acting for camera, musical theatre, improv, and dance. https://www.pigasuspictures.com

Featuring members of Hoosier Films, Directed by Women, Indiana University Cinema, Indiana University Libraries Moving Image Archive, IU Center for Rural Engagement, Monroe County Public Library (Indiana), and more.

So, come on out to the the September 12th meeting and hear about local Bloomington area film and creative resources, a Q&A, and open Networking.. Following the presentation, we will be moving next-door to Bloomington’s famous Cafe Pizzaria, for food, fun, and more networking.
